The legendary Bill Murray collaborates with Gulf Coast Records artists Mike Zito And Albert Castiglia (also known as “Blood Brothers”) will perform a series of shows in the first few months of 2025. A special guest at the dates is the newly signed guitarist from the Gulf Coast Jimmy Vivinohis label debut, These will be two of those daysis scheduled to be released on February 14th.

The Bill Murray and His Blood Brothers Tour begins January 3rd and 4th with two sold-out shows in Chicago; Continued with multiple dates in San Francisco, Atlanta, New York and Austin; plus dates in Des Moines and Saint Louis; Additional shows will be announced at a later date.

“Mike and I are close friends with Bill’s brother John,” says Albert Castiglia about the state of the affair. “We met John through (Gulf Coast Records labelmate) Chris ‘Bad News’ Barnes. John told Bill about the Blood Brothers and that led to an invitation to play a show at the Murray Brothers’ annual Caddyshack golf tournament in St. Augustine, Florida. Bill sang five songs with the band that evening. It was surreal to share the stage with such an icon, but he acted on stage like he was just one of the guys; so much fun. Bill had so much fun that he reached out to Mike and told him he wanted to do shows with us. The rest is history!”

Mike Zito and Albert Castiglia celebrated the release of their self-titled Blood Brothers album in 2023 with a tour that became one of the hottest tickets of the year. Produced by Joe Bonamassa and Josh Smith, this album reached #1 on both the Billboard Blues Chart and iTunes Blues Chart and won the 2024 Blues Music Award for Blues Rock Album of the Year. One of the most anticipated albums of the year, “Blood Brothers” featured the multiple Blues Music Award winners, who then played a hugely successful series of “Blood Brothers” shows in 2023 over the summer and fall, with a special Performances with “Blood Brothers” culminated in September at the Big Blues Bender in Las Vegas.

Mike Zito and Albert Castiglia are true “blood brothers” in life and in the music they create both individually and together. They join forces in a collaborative songwriting and performance effort to create a total listening experience that is greater than the sum of its parts. Added to this process are the talents of producers Joe Bonamassa and Josh Smith, who brought fresh ideas to the recording sessions, creatively and musically pushing Mike and Albert to present their best work yet.
