There was a lot to see at the 47th annual Kennedy Center Honors. While the event took place earlier this month on December 8th, tonight’s broadcast will air on CBS from 8:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. ET (8:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. PT) and stream live and on Paramount+ will -demand.

This year’s ceremony portraits featured a dazzling array of metallic looks that continue to trend this year after dominating the red carpet at the 2024 CMA Awards and the 2024 Emmy Awards. Check out some of the standout ensembles from this year’s Kennedy Center Honors below.

J’Nai Bridges

J’Nai Bridges opted for a statement, beaded silver dress with an Art Deco vibe and paired it with sparkling wreath earrings.

Queen Latifah

Queen Latifah, host of the 2024 Kennedy Center Honors, wore a silver beaded gown with cascading floral appliqués.

Chloe Sevigny

Chloë Sevigny, who attended the show honoring the Grateful Dead, wore a patchwork dress for the occasion. She paired it with rounded toe western boots.

Grace Vander Waal

Grace VanderWaal embraced old-school glamor in a pearlescent satin gown. She completed her look with a pearl headband.

Debbie Allen

Debbie Allen put a pink twist on the metallic trend. The “Fame” star embraced the monochrome trend, wearing a high-waisted pink maxi skirt, a pink blouse and pink pointed-toe heels.

Brandi Carlile

Brandi Carlile dressed for the occasion. The singer-songwriter wore a black suit with red trim and paired it with a red blouse and matching ascot.

The war and the treaty

The War and Treaty’s Tanya Trotter also interpreted the metallic trend by wearing a sleeveless gold dress with beaded detailing and pairing it with pointed heels.

Doug E Fresh

Doug E. Fresh gave the metallic trend a brocade twist, wearing a gold tuxedo jacket. He completed his look with gold wire frame sunglasses.

Kofi B

Kofi B also opted for a brocade jacket, wearing one with a metallic floral print and pairing it with a silk shirt and a glittering music note pin.

Since its founding in 1978, the Kennedy Center has honored renowned performers in the fields of music, dance, theater, opera, film and television in recognition of their contributions to American culture. This year’s honorees include director Francis Ford Coppola, the Grateful Dead members, jazz trumpeter Arturo Sandoval, singer-songwriter Bonnie Raitt and the historic Apollo Theater.
