The Buffalo Bills defeated the New England Patriots at home with a final score of 24-21.

On a cold Sunday in Orchard Park, the Bills’ reception was anything but warm and cozy.

In fact, the weather was cold and stingy, just like it was for the Patriots in the first half.

The Patriots ran the ball on both sides, but gradually in the second half, Buffalo began to remind its divisional opponent which team held the AFC East crown.

Still, the game wasn’t without some exciting moments, and Bills fans experienced one of them in the fourth quarter when quarterback Josh Allen apparently injured his right elbow and hand after hitting a defender’s helmet during a tackle in the game had touched.

After the game, Allen gave an update on the injury.

“I got a helmet down to the bone. I wanted to throw the next one, but I had no feeling in my hand. Came out a little shaky,” Allen said CBS Sideline reporter Evan Wasburn on the field after the win.

It was revealed this week that the Bills’ QB played most of the season with a fractured left hand that has since healed. It’s worth noting that he still put together a campaign worthy of MVP consideration.

However, coaches and fans do not take an injury to the throwing arm or hand lightly.

Allen was seen shaking hands on the sideline after the game and throwing to get it feeling right again. Backup quarterback Mitchell Trubisky even started warming up in case Allen couldn’t go.

But he got back into the game, completed a few passes and did his part with a QB sneak on the final drive to secure the victory.

Next up, the Bills host the Jets at home and then travel to New England to close out the regular season for a rematch of the Patriots.
