When is Christmas Eve 2024?

This year, Christmas Eve is on Tuesday, December 24th.

Is the post office open on Christmas Eve? Does USPS mail deliver?

U.S. post offices will be open during regular hours and mail dropped off in blue collection boxes on Dec. 24 will be picked up at the times listed on the mailbox, according to the USPS website. Regular and Priority Mail Express mail will be delivered on Christmas Eve.

All USPS services and offices will remain closed the next day, Christmas.

Are UPS and FedEx open on Christmas Eve?

According to the company’s website, UPS delivery will be available for all services on December 24th. All UPS Store locations are open.

UPS pickup for air and international air services is only available if arranged by December 19th. UPS Ground Service pickup is not available on Christmas Eve.

Most FedEx pickup and delivery services — Ground, Ground Economy, Home Delivery — will be available on Christmas Eve, according to the company’s website, but FedEx Express service may end earlier in some areas. Customers should contact their local FedEx office location for specific holiday periods.

FedEx Freight will be unavailable on December 24th.

Are banks open on Christmas Eve?

Branches for Capital One, Bank of America, PNC, Truist and CitiBank and others will open Dec. 24, the companies confirmed to USA TODAY.

Some PNC and Truist branches will close at 2 p.m. local time that day, the companies told USA TODAY, and other banking companies may follow the same schedule.

It’s best to check with your local office for exact holiday hours before heading there.
