CCU prepares for Myrtle Beach Bowl

The party for Monday’s Myrtle Beach Bowl is already underway.

The Hangout at Broadway at the Beach held a pregame rally on Sunday in preparation.

The University of Texas at San Antonio will take on Coastal Carolina University right on its own doorstep.

The football game is scheduled to kick off at 11 a.m. Monday at Brooks Stadium in Conway.

The pep rally-style event provided an epic day of fun for fans of both teams.

The Roadrunners held their pep rally at the Hangout at 2:45 p.m., followed by chants at 4 p.m

There was a DJ, cheerleaders, games, dancing, bands, food and confetti.

Jimmy Williams has been a CCU fan for over 20 years.

He was one of many fans who came out today to show their support for Teal Nation.

“I have a season ticket so I’m at every game to cheer on these boys. And I know it hasn’t been easy all year, but at the end of the day, when it comes to becoming the champion, there’s no doubt about it: Teal Nation is going to rise, and we’re going to get this thing done home,” said Jimmy Williams, a Coastal football fan.

Monday’s bowl game will air on both ESPN and ESPN Deportes.
