Matt Gaetz’s sex trafficking buddy used a “cute” classroom photo of a police officer in the pitch to “meet” a 20-year-old girl.

A former pal of Matt Gaetz, who pleaded guilty to charges of sex trafficking of minors, once used an image of the police officer in what appeared to be a classroom as a pitch for a “meeting” with a 20-year-old woman in exchange for $400, sources say it claims in an ethics report.

Joel Greenberg, 40, a former tax collector in Florida, came across the woman known for so-called sugar daddy dating on the website SeekingArrangement.com, according to a damning House Ethics Committee draft report on Gaetz, the 42-year-old former congressman from the Sunshine State.

“I have a friend who alerted me to the website that I could bring,” the woman wrote to Greenberg in a September 2018 message, according to the draft report. “She is very pretty, great personality. I typically make $400 per meeting. Does your friend use the website too?”

Greenberg replied: “Very cool.

“Yeah, he gets the deal :),” Greenberg added. “What does your boyfriend look like?” $400 is no problem. Are you two old enough to drink?”

Greenberg then sent the photo of Gaetz taking a selfie with someone standing blurry in front of what appeared to be a whiteboard in the classroom.

Those messages between former Matt Gaetz boyfriend Joel Greenberg and a 20-year-old woman in 2018 were revealed by a House ethics panel conducting an investigation into Gaetz’s conduct. Received from NY Post
Greenberg is serving an 11-year prison sentence after pleading guilty to sex trafficking charges.

“Oooh, my boyfriend thinks he’s really cute!” replied the then 20-year-old.

Greenberg, now serving an 11-year prison sentence, stressed that he and Gaetz “work hard and play hard” before asking the woman if she had tried Molly, another nickname for the stimulant ecstasy.

Gaetz eventually met the unidentified woman “multiple times,” paid her over $2,000 and “continues to follow her on social media,” the draft report said.

Two weeks after they first met, Gaetz invited her and “another woman he regularly paid for sex to meet him at the hotel without telling her that others would be present,” the draft report says.

This other woman, who was 21 at the time, allegedly begged Gaetz to help her pay for her college tuition.

“The 21-year-old woman told the committee that there was an ‘expectation’ of a ‘sexual encounter,'” the draft report said, noting that the three and Greenberg had sex.

“Thereafter, Representative Gaetz gave her a check made out to cash for $750 with the words ‘Tuition Refund’ in the memo line, which she deposited the next day to help pay for her tuition.”

The woman later suggested to the House Ethics Committee that the exchange “may have been a form of coercion because I really needed the money.”

On Monday, the House Ethics Committee unveiled its draft report detailing its findings on Gaetz following a lengthy investigation into allegations against him. Gaetz later sued to block the report’s release.

The panel cited the Greenberg message as an example of evidence it received to support its claims that Gaetz met with women “who were paid for sex and/or drugs” at least 20 times between early 2017 and mid-2020. .

Gaetz tied the knot with Ginger Luckey later in 2021.

The House Ethics Committee’s investigation into Gaetz began in 2021 but was halted by a Justice Department sex trafficking investigation centered around him. In February last year, the Justice Department decided against charging him. Shortly afterwards, the ethics committee reopened its investigation into him.

Many details of the report’s allegations were already known, such as the allegation that he had sex with a minor.

The attorney for one of the people who claimed to have witnessed Gaetz’s alleged sexual encounter with a minor said she “understood that Matt Gaetz did not know that (the 17-year-old) was a minor.”

“When he learned that she was a minor … he broke off the relationship and did not continue the sexual relationship until she turned 18,” the lawyer said, citing her client, ABC News reported.

Gaetz had been President-elect Donald Trump’s first nominee for U.S. attorney general, although he withdrew last month out of deference when it became clear he would face an uphill battle for confirmation.

The politician has resigned from the 118th Congress and indicated he will not return to the 119th Congress when it is sworn in next month. He will host a show on One America News Network next month.

The former congressman sharply criticized the House committee over the release of its report and stressed that the DOJ had not filed any charges against him.

“When I was single, I often sent money to women I dated — even some I never dated but who asked for it,” Gaetz previously wrote on X. “I dated several of these women for years. I have NEVER had sexual contact with anyone under the age of 18.

“My 30s were a time when I worked very hard – and played hard too. It’s embarrassing, although not criminal, that I probably partied, womanized, drank and smoked more than I should have earlier in life. I live a different life now.”
