It’s starting to look a lot like Christmas week, and you may be struggling to get your errands done on time (we’re procrastinators ourselves, we’re not judging). Many places are closed on Christmas Day, but what about Christmas Eve?

This year, Christmas Eve is on Tuesday, December 24th.

Is the post office open on Christmas Eve? Does USPS mail deliver?

U.S. post offices will be open during regular hours and mail dropped off in blue collection boxes on Dec. 24 will be picked up at the times listed on the mailbox, according to the USPS website. Regular and Priority Mail Express mail will be delivered on Christmas Eve.

All USPS services and offices will remain closed the next day, Christmas.

Are UPS and FedEx open on Christmas Eve?

According to the company’s website, UPS delivery will be available for all services on December 24th. All UPS Store locations are open.

UPS pickup for air and international air services is only available if arranged by December 19th. UPS Ground Service pickup is not available on Christmas Eve.

Most FedEx pickup and delivery services — Ground, Ground Economy, Home Delivery — will be available on Christmas Eve, according to the company’s website, but FedEx Express service may end earlier in some areas.
