Ryan Seacrest buys an LA mansion for $36 million. Here’s a look at his splashy real estate portfolio

According to a Wall Street Journal report, longtime TV star Ryan Seacrest has entered into a deal to purchase a sprawling, renovated estate worth $36 million.

The veteran host, known for hosting “American Idol,” “Wheel Of Fortune” and “Live With Kelly and Ryan,” regularly commutes between New York and LA. He is buying his new home from fashion mogul Serge Azria, who paid $16.455 million for the Bel-Air estate in 2020. Azria completed a three-year renovation of the home before listing the approximately 11,000-square-foot Bel-Air estate for $48 million in June.

A relaxing Mediterranean-style retreat

Built in 1928 in a modern Spanish style, the home features simple wood and cream finishes and furnishings, arched porches, and light wood beams beneath vaulted ceilings. It has a showbiz pedigree, having belonged to actress Diane Keaton twenty years ago.

In keeping with Azria’s intent, the house was redesigned with a Mediterranean feel and four olive trees were added to the garden to complement the minimalist, calming color palette. The home also features a separate pool house with a wood-burning fireplace, a 5-6 car garage, a steam room, a sauna, a patio and two kitchens.

Real estate moves

Seacrest — with a net worth of around $500 million — has been as busy buying and selling California real estate as he has been presenting it. In July, he listed a Napa Valley estate for $22 million and sold a Beverly Hills home to tech billionaire Brian Long for $51 million in 2022. Seacrest purchased the property from Ellen DeGeneres and Portia DeRossi in 2012 for $36.5 million.

Seacrest also sold his New York home – a five-bedroom penthouse in the West Village – to Fanatics billionaire Michael Rubin for $43 million in the summer of 2023, the Daily Mail reported.
