With Christmas Day just around the corner, TJ Maxx officially announced that there will be a 24-hour blackout.

The famously affordable clothes, homewares and unusual treasures that we get lost in every year will no longer be available on Christmas Day, so shop early!

The announcement of a 24-hour closure is just the latest in a long line of stores allowing employees to spend the holidays with their families.

However, we have some good news: all TJ Maxx fans can look forward to business as usual on December 26th.

Monday to Saturday most locations are typically open from 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. and Sundays from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. To attract more customers, TJ Maxx will reopen at 8 a.m. on Thursday this year.

If you’re considering going to Marshalls, you might want to reconsider this as an alternative.

With all TJX businesses closing for Christmas, this mass closure will impact other stores as well.

Sister store Marshalls will also close, leaving shoppers with fewer options to shop Last Minite this year.

Other places to shop on Christmas Day

Thanks to Amazon’s same-day delivery option, you may receive some items within just a few hours.

Alternatively, visit CVS on Christmas Day for all your healthcare needs.

Retail giant Walgreens will also welcome holiday customers.

7-Eleven and other major grocery stores are also expected to be open in certain regions.
