Bill Maher comedy special “Anyone else watching this?” on HBO

Updated, December 23rd: HBO has set a premiere date of January 10th Bill Maher: Does anyone else see this? It is also streaming on Max.

Here is the official logline for the special: “Acclaimed comedian and satirist Bill Maher, host of the award-winning series Real Time with Bill Maher, serves up another dose of reality in his 13th HBO stand-up special. With his signature sardonic wit and unfiltered approach to discussing controversial topics, the comedian delivers his scathing commentary on the hypocrisies of conservative and liberal politics, as well as trends in modern parenting, sex and dating, and religion. Recorded at the CIBC Theater in Chicago, Bill Maher: Is Any Other Seeing This? is an unflinching and honest portrayal of a comedian who is unafraid to call out extremes… No matter where they come from.”

The special is executive produced by BMaher, Marc Gurvitz, Marcus Raboy and Neal Marshall. The producer is Rhonda Harrington.

The Real time The host will record the special in front of a live audience at the CIBC Theater in Chicago, IL.

“I almost called this special ‘You Won’t Feel Safe,’ because in American politics, if you’re a pure team player, you won’t,” Maher said. “This one is for the 80% of Americans who want to showcase the crazy, no matter where he comes from. And the last twenty minutes of my sex life are there for everyone.”

Maher headlined his first special on HBO in 1989 and has starred in 12 solo specials for the network, including: Bill Maher: Be more cynical (2000), I’m Swiss (2005), Bill Maher… But I’m not wrong (2010), Bill Maher: Live from Oklahoma (2018) and his most recent, #Grow up (2022). His weekly HBO series, Real Time with Bill Maher, is currently in its groundbreaking 22nd season. First, “Politically Incorrect.” And this has been the case for more than twenty years Real timeThroughout his career, Maher has received 41 Emmy nominations.
