James Middleton praises “incredible sister” Kate Middleton for her annual Christmas carol concert

Kate Middleton’s brother speaks sweet words after touching her Together at Christmas Christmas carol service.

The 42-year-old Princess of Wales hosted her fourth annual Christmas service at Westminster Abbey on December 6, and guests were treated to a memorable picture for the Order of Worship.

James Middleton was so touched by the artwork, which shows a group of friends walking together through the snow towards the famous abbey, that he posted a photo of it on Instagram with a moving caption.

“At Christmas and throughout the year, we all need to shine for each other. Because in times of joy and sadness, we are all each other’s light 🎄,” he began.

He continued: “A very powerful message from my incredible sister at this special time of year. Merry Christmas everyone 🐾.”

The Order of Service image of Princess Kate, created by bestselling author and artist Charlie Mackesy, also included a special note in a script font: “How did I help? You were by my side. That was all,” it said.

A spokesperson for Princess Kate previously said that the words “embody the theme of the Christmas service and the power of giving someone support by simply being by their side when you need it most.”

Princess Kate’s Christmas special was This was particularly significant this year after she announced in March that she had cancer and completed chemotherapy in September, which she had previously described as an “incredibly hard” time.

In addition to James, Princess Kate was accompanied at her holiday concert by her husband Prince William and their children Prince George (11), Princess Charlotte (9) and Prince Louis (6). Her parents Carole and Michael Middleton, her sisters Pippa Middleton and James and wife Alizée Thevenet also supported Kate at the event.

She launched the 2021 Holiday Concert with the Royal Foundation to recognize those who have gone the extra mile for their communities during the COVID pandemic.

Princess Kate wrote an open letter to participants in which she thanked people “from the bottom of her heart” for spreading the word for others.

“Christmas is one of my favorite times of the year. It is a time of celebration and joy, but it also gives us a chance to slow down and reflect on the deeper things that connect us all,” she said in part. “When we pause and step away from the pressures of daily life, we find the space to live our lives with an open heart, with love, kindness and forgiveness – so much of what the Christmas spirit is all about.”

The service will be broadcast as part of Royal Carols: Together at Christmasin the UK on ITV1 and ITVX at 7.30pm on Christmas Eve.
