Barstool’s Dave Portnoy donates $60,000 to save TinyBrickOven from closing on Christmas

TinyBrickOven can now remain open thanks to Barstool founder Dave “El Pres” Portnoy, also known for Barstool Sports’ One Bite Pizza reviews, who donated $60,000 to the pizzeria.

The original plan was to close the store on Christmas Day.

Portnoy tried a reheated pizza since there was little time left in Baltimore, and after tasting the pizza he said, “This is a reheated pizza and very good.”

“This place should not go bankrupt under any circumstances, under any circumstances,” Portnoy said.

When asked how much TinyBrickOven needed to stay open for a year, Portnoy agreed to donate $60,000.

Portnoy rated the reheated pizza 7.9. “It cost me 60 cents, but whatever, I’m a nice mother.”

Portnoy transferred the money the next day to the account of William Fagg, the owner of TinyBrickOven.

“I wrote him a really big thank you. And he wrote us back and said, I think you’re going to be very busy right now. And I thought: Yes, I think so too. “I mean, I told him the way the story went was that it went a lot better than any of his other normal stories,” Fagg said.

Fagg calls Portnoy’s generous donation a Christmas miracle.

“I have a feeling it’s a man. I still believe in miracles. “The timing is definitely not a coincidence, at least at first glance,” said Fagg.
