Men’s basketball stays at home against Cal State Fullerton on Saturday

STOCKTON, Calif. – Saturday marks Thanksgiving weekend as the Pacific men’s basketball program hosts Cal State Fullerton at the Alex G. Spanos Center at 4:30 p.m.

The Tigers (4-4) are coming off a 12-point win over Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Wednesday. Big nights came from seniors Elijah Ralph with a double-double, junior Lamar Washington with 19 points, seven rebounds and seven assists and is a sophomore Elijah Fisher with a career-high 28 points and nine rebounds.

Following the UAPB win, Ralph, Washington and Fisher were all named to the Russ Pott Productions Inc (RPPI) All-Tournament Team, which included Pacific’s road game at Missouri.

Ralph and Fisher made two All-Tournament teams this season when they were named to the Outrigger Rainbow Classic All-Tournament Team in Hawaii. This tournament included games against San Jose State, Life Pacific and Hawaii.

Ralph is averaging team-highs of 17.9 points and 8.3 rebounds per game and has recorded four double-doubles on the year. He scored double-digit points in all eight games. Ralph ranks second in the West Coast Conference in scoring and is in the top five in field goal percentage, rebounding and offensive rebounding.

Fisher scores 17.4 points per game with four points over 20. Fisher is shooting .535 from the floor and .444 from long range.

Washington ranks second in the conference and top 10 in the country with 7.0 assists per game. He is also third on the team in scoring at 10.6 points per game.

The Titans (2-5) earned a 72-63 road win at Pepperdine. CSUF also has a 62-61 win over Idaho State. The Titans rank ninth nationally in free throw percentage with a margin of .813. Donovan Oday leads the team with 11.1 points per game and is 21 of 26 (.808) from the charity stripe.

NOTES

– Pacific has a 48-41 all-time record against Cal State Fullerton, including a 31-12 home record.

– Pacific is 806-453 all-time at home, 343-220 at the Alex G. Spanos Center and 2-1 this season.

– As a team, Pacific ranks second in the WCC and 39th nationally in three-point percentage defense (.272). The Tigers were able to keep their opponents to under 30 percent from distance five times this season.

– The Tigers are 4-0 when outscoring their opponents this year and 4-0 when scoring at least 80 points.
