It looks to be a warm and dry Christmas in Fort Collins, but there may be a taste of winter weather.

According to the National Weather Service, Fort Collins is in for a sunny Christmas Eve with an expected high of 54 degrees, with clouds and light winds forecast for the evening and an overnight low of 27 degrees. Christmas Day will likely be similar, with some clouds, a high of 50 and a low of 24 expected.

After another warmer day on Thursday with highs of 50 degrees, we caught a glimpse of winter weather on Thursday evening. According to the National Weather Service, there is a slight chance of rain after 11 p.m., which could mix with snow after 1 a.m. The chance of precipitation on Thursday is 20%.

After another warmer weekend – with highs around 47 degrees on Friday, 54 degrees on Saturday and 57 degrees on Sunday – there is another chance of rain and snow accompanied by wind on Monday, despite expected high temperatures, according to the National Weather Service on Monday 52 degrees.
