Nintendo Switch 2 leak finally confirms a big and rather surprising detail | Gaming | Entertainment

It looks like the Nintendo Switch 2 could be unveiled this Christmas, although not from Nintendo.

A recent report on Reddit suggests that the new Nintendo console and its dock are in the hands of a lucky fan.

We’ll get to the good stuff in a moment, but the leaker has promised to release the review by Christmas, meaning we might get a look at the new console on December 25th.

Meanwhile, Reddit user “NextHandheld” has given fans a few details about the new console, including its name.

According to NextHandheld, the console will be called Nintendo Switch 2, which is a bit surprising.

The console should not only be more powerful than the current system, but also have some additional functions.

According to reports, the Joy-con controllers will feature magnetic Hall effect joysticks that will prevent the sticks from drifting.

Supposedly the console will be launched in dark gray, but other colors could also be available.

Aside from the evidence that NextHandheld will post at Christmas, the full reveal of the console is set to take place next January.

According to previous leaks, the new console will be larger than the current model, with a smaller bezel for more screen space.

There’s a good chance that the upcoming Metroid Prime sequel will be released as a cross-generation title for both the Switch and its successor.

Nintendo has done this with games like Twilight Princess on the Gamecube and Wii, and Breath of the Wild on the Wii U and Nintendo Switch.

Speaking of Breath of the Wild, there are reports that Nintendo demonstrated the power of the Switch 2 with a demo for the highly rated Legend of Zelda release.

NextHandheld also suggests that Mario Kart 9 could be unveiled alongside the Nintendo Switch 2 when it is announced next year.
