Santa’s reindeer were released for deliveries across Pennsylvania on Christmas Eve

Santa’s nine-member reindeer team has received permission to make deliveries to children across Pennsylvania on Christmas Eve. The state Department of Agriculture announced Monday at Hershey Park that Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner, Blitzen and Rudolph have received a clean bill of health. “That means they can fly from rooftop to rooftop in all 67 Pennsylvania counties to deliver toys and other items to children on the Nice List, a secret we will never tell,” said Agriculture Secretary Russell Redding. “But the young and young at heart of Pennsylvania can rest comfortably in their beds knowing that the reindeer are healthy and ready to fly.” A health certificate is required to ensure that infectious diseases are not spread across state lines.
