Additionally, It’s Tough to Be a Bug will be closing to make way for a new show – Zootopia: Better Zoogether! While we’re excited about all of these changes, it does mean that construction walls will be erected around Animal Kingdom, making travel a little more difficult.

Building a magical kingdom

Animal Kingdom isn’t the only park undergoing major construction in 2025 – quite the opposite! A lot of walls are also being built at the Magic Kingdom, as the Liberty Square Riverboat and Tom Sawyer Island are closing to make way for the new car-themed land.

Rivers of America

Villains Land has also begun construction in the park, but since it occupies the space behind the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, the only closure associated with the change so far is the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, which will close on January 6th for at least a year .

Closure of the Muppets Courtyard and changes to Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster

There will also be some massive changes at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, most notably: the closure of the Muppet Courtyard to make way for the new Monsters, Inc. property to take its place.

However, the Muppets won’t disappear forever! Instead, they will take over Rock ‘n’ Roller CoasterThis means that this main attraction will also be closed this year to make way for the new theme. That said, keep an eye out for wait times at Tower of Terror – since there are no other attractions open near that side of the park, we expect those wait times to skyrocket!
