Christmas spirit activated!

ABC and Disney+ will air the “Disney Parks Magical Christmas Day Parade” on Christmas morning.

The special is hosted by Julianne Hough and Alfonso Ribeiro.

“Christmas morning is my favorite time of year because we have this parade here at Disney World here in Florida,” Hough told On The Red Carpet as they recorded segments for the special.

“It’s pretty exciting, it’s exciting to be a part of it,” Ribeiro added.

The annual tradition includes the parade, of course, as well as a series of performances by artists such as Elton John, Carly Pearce, Anika Noni Rose, John Legend and the cast of Disney on Broadway.

“It feels amazing – my kids are going to love it because they’re Walt Disney fanatics just like us,” Elton John told On The Red Carpet.

“When I think of Christmas and Disney, two of the most magical and simply joyful times of the year come to mind,” Pearce said. “It’s very nostalgic and I feel really honored to be here.”

The cast of “Descendants: The Rise of Red” also worked hard on a very special performance for the special.

“I think you can expect a whole lot of happiness, a whole lot of Red and just a lot of ‘Descendants’ fun,” said Kylie Cantrall.

“Disney Parks Magical Christmas Day Parade” airs Christmas morning at 10 a.m. EST / 9 a.m. CST / 5 a.m. MST and PST on ABC and at 11 a.m. EST / 10 a.m. CST / 8 a.m. PST on Disney+.
