Baltimore spends Christmas Day in Houston for a matchup of 2024 playoff teams when the Ravens (10-5) visit the Texans (9-6) on Wednesday. With two regular season games remaining, the Ravens and Steelers are tied at the top of the AFC North standings, while Houston is first in the AFC South with a two-game lead over Indy.

It will be his first game against Houston as a member of the Ravens, but Derrick Henry has a history against the Texans from his time with the Tennessee Titans. In 14 career games against Houston, Henry averaged 102.2 yards per contest and 5.66 yards per carry. Henry has eclipsed the 200-yard mark in four straight games against the Texans between 2019 and 2022 and has surpassed the century mark in a game twice.

Houston and Baltimore competed in the 2023 regular season and last January in the Divisional Round of the playoffs, and the Ravens won both contests. The Texans haven’t beaten Baltimore in 10 years. The last Houston win came ten years ago at home, on the penultimate weekend of the season, in 2014.

Lamar Jackson dominated Houston

Including the postseason, the Ravens have won all four games of his career against the Texans. Jackson completed 73.9 percent of his throws for a total of 747 yards, seven touchdowns and one interception in those four games. He also had two scores and rushed for 271 yards on 43 carries.
