Derrick Henry sets the Ravens’ single-season TD record on Christmas

HOUSTON – With a 2-yard touchdown run on the first drive, Baltimore Ravens running back Derrick Henry ended a scoring drought and entered the franchise record list against the Houston Texans on Wednesday.

Henry set a Ravens single-season record with his 16th total touchdown, surpassing Ray Rice (2011) and Mark Ingram (2019). This also ended a four-game touchdown drought for Henry, the third-longest of his career.

The Ravens are not known for starting fast. This was Baltimore’s first touchdown on the opening drive since its Week 5 game at Cincinnati. After the Pittsburgh Steelers lost to the Kansas City Chiefs earlier on Wednesday, the Ravens are in control of their fate in the AFC North.

Baltimore can repeat its title as division champions by winning the final two games of the regular season. The Ravens host the Cleveland Browns next week.
