Harper may only be five years old. While she’s supposed to be taking trips to Disneyland, she’s often seen at the football stadium rooting for her dad and the Yellowjackets. November 29th was no exception. The little girl was there with her mother Danielle Key at Sanford Stadium in Athens. Just a random chat session with Harper is enough to boost Key! A video of their pre-game catch-up routine has gone viral and the father-daughter duo is sure to melt your heart.

In the video, the HC can be seen squatting to reach his daughter’s height while Harper stands and smiles. She looked like she was waiting for her father’s reaction while Key was busy inspecting something. By now you’ve probably guessed what the gift was – it had to be the bracelets that she makes sure to make for her dad before every game. Last year, she also gave Key a “DADA” beaded bracelet and friendship bracelets for his players. And this time there was another gift for Key: a bracelet.

A long and tight hug followed by a kiss to her father that would surely make you say “Awww!” It seems like there is already too much hate everywhere; Perhaps this dose of love from Harper was the need of the hour for Key, who was mentioned in Smart’s fiery tirade.

A war of words between Brent Key and Kirby Smart

Did you know that the Bulldogs have won 33 of the last 43 games against the Yellow Jackets since 1979? So it’s obvious that Key will be bitter towards the Smart boys. However, fans didn’t expect things to get so heated! The Georgia Tech HC presented his unfiltered version without mincing words when he said: “There is nothing in the world that I hate more. It’s probably the only thing I hate. When I say hate, I really despise everything about it. I really do.”

And Smart, being Smart, didn’t let the rivalry week pass without a sharp retort. Yes, the man definitely stays away from making any nasty comments, but his words are sure to hit Key right in the heart. And this is where the Bulldogs HC indirectly came into play.

“I think you’re a much better coach if you stay calm and coach the players… It’s about what we think and how we play. We have to control that. “We have to have a contact-seeking attitude and enjoy a street fight.” commented Kirby Smart. With Brent Keys’ wrist now bearing a symbol of love and happiness, it’s time for him to fight off the negativity and bring the W to Georgia Tech.
