Patrick Mahomes was once again the Chiefs’ big leader in an impressive 29-10 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers. They won three victories in just eleven days. The star quarterback has thus achieved his team’s first major goal: home advantage in the playoffs.

“It shows the strength of the team. As the games went on we got better and better. The boys are mentally and physically strong. We played against some really good football teams. After some hard-fought battles, the boys walked away with three wins. It’s important to get the #1 seed. It’s like winning a playoff game. I was happy to have done that. We have a few guys who messed up. It will be nice to get the boys healthy. That was super important.”

Well, those Kansas City Chiefs their players can rest for almost three weeks to prepare for a tough battle in which they will aim for a third consecutive victory Super Bowl.

Can the Chiefs win the Super Bowl?

The Kansas City Chiefs are currently the favorites to win the Super Bowl, ahead of other contenders like that Buffalo Billsthe Baltimore Ravens, the Detroit Lions or the Philadelphia Eagles.

Patrick Mahomes admitted that after overcoming many injuries throughout the season, the Chiefs are finally healthy and, most importantly, peaking at the right time. That could be the difference in a championship run.

“That’s what you want to do (climax at the right time). Obviously we feel like we can always get better. At the end of the year we are playing our best offensive football and getting the boys healthy. We’re looking forward to it. We will continue working. This is not the end. This is just the beginning. We will continue to work on getting better as we head into the playoffs.”
