Storms move east

Another round of rain and thunderstorms swept through North Texas on Thursday. 0.75 to 1.50 inches of rain fell across DFW. There was some minor street flooding, but there were no severe weather events locally.

These storms have moved across East Texas and will cause severe weather in Arkansas and Louisiana overnight.

North Texas may still see a few showers this evening, but mostly along the Red River. Patchy fog is possible overnight and into Friday morning. But Friday afternoon brings sunshine and a nice warm-up. Our above average temperature trend will continue throughout the weekend. But by New Year’s Eve, a cold front will lower temperatures and then the weather will continue into early 2025.
