Meek was born on August 5, 2008 to Derek Firth Meek and Lani Wells Meek.

Before his role in the Oscar-nominated film “Baby Driver,” in which he played the younger version of a lead character played by Ansel Elgort, he had several roles in small films, including “90 Minutes in Heaven” and “The List.”

Following the film’s success, he had several small television roles. He voiced Bada in both Badanamu Cadets and Badanamu Stories.

The last projects he worked on were the television series “Genius” (2024) and the film “The School Duel” (2024). According to his obituary, he has worked on several other projects that will be released in 2025.

“He absolutely loved spending time on set and having the opportunity to learn the names and stories of each member of the cast and crew,” his obituary said.

David Doan, another of Meek’s representatives, called him “a wonderfully gifted and amazing young man.”

“He was a bright spot in this industry and was loved by everyone who worked with him,” Doan said in a statement. “We continue to pray for his wonderful family Lani, Derek and Tucker during this incredibly difficult time.”
