WWE Survivor Series: WarGames Preview and Predictions

WWE Survivor Series: WarGames comes live from Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The PLE takes place on Saturday, November 30th, with 7:00 p.m. ET as the main show start time for US fans.

Speaking of the main card, WWE has confirmed five matches for their upcoming PLE. Superstars from RAW and SmackDown brands will take part in the event. So let’s get straight to our preview and predictions for WWE Survivor Series: WarGames.

LA Knight (c) vs. Shinsuke Nakamura – WWE United States Championship Match

Prelude: Shinsuke Nakamura dropped LA Knight with a cheap shot to start their feud three weeks ago on SmackDown. Nakamura would wrestle his first televised match in months on the final SmackDown before Survivor Series. The Strong Style King defeated Andrade before blinding Knight with a mist as he attempted to attack him.

forecast: All the build-up or lack thereof to such a feud makes this writer think this would be another throwaway match for the US Title. Nakamura’s return was a surprise. For someone who is extremely quick-witted, Knight is considered extremely weak in this feud. And that’s not a pretty sight. Either give the fans a good game or let Knight crush Nakamura for a quick win.

Bron Breakker (c) vs. Sheamus vs. Ludwig Kaiser – WWE Intercontinental Championship Match

Prelude: Ludwig Kaiser mixed on November 18th. on WWE RAW in the Intercontinental Championship match between Sheamus and Bron Breakker. Sheamus paid in kind the following week. All three men brawled on stage, leading to Adam Pearce discarding them in a Triple Threat for Survivor Series: WarGames.

forecast: Let Sheamus have this one. The Celtic Warrior must win the Intercontinental Championship (and the Ultimate Grand Slam) before retiring. He delivered one banger after another week after week. With Breakker reportedly set to take on a tweener role, he would ideally relinquish the title to Sheamus this Saturday. Sheamus, in turn, would put Kaiser somewhere down the line.

Gunther (c) vs. Damian Priest – World Heavyweight Championship Match at Survivor Series: WarGames

Prelude: Gunther won the World Heavyweight Championship by defeating Damian Priest at WWE SummerSlam 2024. The two reignited their feud after Priest won a number one contender’s match for the title on RAW. The two spent the following weeks taunting and beating each other, with Priest getting the upper hand in most cases.

forecast: Priest’s “Street King” gimmick fits perfectly with his current feud with Gunther. The Ring General seems to have lost his confidence. As Priest suggested, the pressure of staying at the top is starting to take its toll. Additionally, the loss to Cody Rhodes left the champion shaken. This author does not expect Gunther to lose. He is a rare breed. But it will be a close fight.

Rhea Ripley, Bianca Belair, Naomi, Iyo Sky and Bayley vs Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez, Nia Jax, Tiffany Stratton and Candice LeRae – Women’s WarGames Match

Prelude: The feud between Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez with Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill laid the foundation for Women’s WarGames. IYO SKY came into the game having secured a shot at the women’s world title. On SmackDown, Naomi joined the babyfaces after failing to beat Nia Jax for the WWE Women’s Championship. Rhea Ripley made a surprise return from injury before Bayley replaced an injured Jade to complete the lineup.

forecast: This match looks incredible on paper. Adding Candice LeRae to the heel team was a great idea. LeRae was part of some of the earliest editions of NXT WarGames, as were Ripley, Bianca and IYO. This writer wanted to see Jade in her first ever WarGames match, but her health comes first. As far as the prediction goes, the babyfaces will get the W. However, it remains to be seen whether Jade’s attackers will be revealed this Saturday.

The OGs vs. The New Bloodline at WWE Survivor Series: WarGames

Prelude: At Crown Jewel PLE 2024, Roman Reigns and The Usos lost to Solo Sikoas Crew. Sami Zayn returned to his old team to level the game. But the tie turned again in The New Bloodline’s favor when Bronson Reed joined them as the fifth member. After Seth Rollins refused to work with the OGs, Paul Heyman (who had not appeared in months) returned with CM Punk for Survivor Series: WarGames five on five.

forecast: So many different levels to this story and so many possible outcomes! How will Punk’s addition affect the bottom line? Will Rollins somehow show up to make a difference? Does Solo Sikoa have a nefarious plan? So what’s The Rock’s schedule this Saturday? This author goes for it when it comes to choosing a side. This is a brilliant story, so let’s not spoil the fun with it.
