Rating the Jets’ 40-14 away loss to the Bills on Sunday:

attack

This was another week of offensive futility.

The Jets didn’t reach the end zone until the fourth quarter, when they were already down 40-0 and Tyrod Taylor was at quarterback.

QB Aaron Rodgers (12 of 18, 112 yards, 2 INTs, 44.0 rating) had a terrible game.

His second interception put the momentum in the Bills’ direction in the third quarter.

The Jets’ three first-half possessions ended with a turnover on downs, an interception and a safety.

The offensive line allowed four sacks of Rodgers.

WR Garrett Wilson (7 catches, 66 yards, 1 TD) has been vocal about his dissatisfaction, but was part of the problem with a fumble on Sunday.

defense

What happened to this once proud entity?

The Jets were no match for Bills QB Josh Allen (16 of 27, 182 yards, 2 TDs, 104.2 rating, 5 rushes, 17 yards, 1 TD) and the Buffalo offense.

Allen didn’t even play his best game, but he was good enough in this one.

The Bills scored five touchdowns and were 3 for 3 in the red zone.

The Jets failed to sack Allen and put little pressure on him, causing their defensive backs to stay in coverage for far too long.

It’s hard to find anything the Jets’ defense is doing well right now, and they’re committing so many stupid penalties.

Special teams

It was a pretty unremarkable game for this unit.

Punter Thomas Morstead pinned the Bills with one of his punts at the 1-yard line in the third quarter.

The Jets didn’t do much in the second leg.

They allowed former Jet Ty Johnson a 45-yard kickoff return.

Kicker Greg Zuerlein did not attempt any kicks in his first game off injured reserve.

Coaching

The Jets are one of the worst coached teams you will ever see.

They don’t play complementary football.

They are terrible in close range situations.

They’re a sloppy team that has talent but still finds ways to look awful.

The Jets committed 16 penalties Sunday, including five personal fouls.

Interim coach Jeff Ulbrich is now 2-9 since taking over for Robert Saleh, and his team looks lost.
