NBA Live Discussion: Brooklyn Nets at Orlando Magic, 3:30 p.m. ET

The year 2024 represented a time where the Nets were forced to choose a direction. They finished last season with a 31-51 record, relying on a cornerstone player who didn’t want to be part of their future. So they sent him to the Knicks for five first-round picks, reclaimed some of their own picks, hired a good young coach in Jordi Fernandez, and now they’re officially in rebuild mode… while competing and winning some games.

And just over two hours before tonight’s game (FULL DETAILS)…

Here’s to a happy, healthy, safe and fun 2025. Hopefully fewer surprises than Sunday afternoon!

Game preview | Brian Fleurantine

The game: The return of Cam Thomas should open up the offense. CJ is taking on new challenges on offense and the results are starting to show. Lucas left detailed about it on Friday, and you should check it out! Even in a season where the future takes center stage, there’s a lot to watch and observe in the present.

Injuries: DFS and Shake Milton were traded. Bojan Bogdanovic, Trendon Watford and Ziaire Williams are out. Ben Simmons missed Friday’s game as the second half of a back-to-back game. He should be back today. The same goes for Cam Johnson, who missed the game with a hip injury. AND…Cam Thomas is listed as probable after missing 13 straight times.

Franz Wagner, Mo Wagner and Paolo Banchero are out.
