Former Indianapolis Colts player Pat McAfee trashed his old team on Sunday after watching them get eliminated from the playoffs with a loss to the New York Giants.

Indianapolis had three turnovers and allowed four touchdown passes from Drew Lock in the 45-33 loss. The Colts fell to 7-9 on the season and were officially out of contention.

“A blind person could see the warning signs in this team. Questions about work ethic NEVER arise with good teams. Questions about the commitment to preparation NEVER arise with good teams. Being late to meetings NEVER happens with good teams. Late to/Skipping a treatment NEVER happens with good teams. The franchise quarterback (Anthony Richardson) left one game in the NFL,” McAfee wrote.

“That’s literally the only thing you have to say to someone (who knows ball), and they could tell you anything about this team…”

He wrote that if a franchise quarterback left the game midway through the game because he was tired, the “immediate reaction” would be that the team had “no chance.”

“And to the surprise of no one…that was the reaction from everyone who has played/coached the game before, but…Colts blogs and fans who have been covering the Colts since 2020 and knew better than anyone in recent memory… started attacking me personally and tried to get me kicked out of town,” McAfee continued.

“When I said Joe Flacco gave us a better chance to win than AR immediately after elimination, I would have said whatever backup QB we have on the roster. This can’t be what the face of your team does.” . That just can’t be right… and by and large AR thought it was okay to do that. This is a cultural problem building that was built by great people.

“I have no idea how they fix this. I don’t think it’s like a light switch. “Okay, we’re going pros now,” but… maybe that’s it, but what do I know?

“Oh wait… how this would all work out. I knew that.”

McAfee added that he will not be renewing his season tickets and hopes the team will get back to winning ways.

“As a holder of a multi-year season ticket (without renewal) and as someone who has actively and daily tried to contribute to this beautiful city. I hope they become a good franchise again. This city deserves it. The OGs” in the Colts building deserve it (equipment manager, trainers, ticket sales, PR, sales). And on the other hand, the players/coaches in this building deserve everything that happens to them. Lack of professionalism has resulted in you having to take an early vacation again… and that’s probably what most of you entitled bums were hoping for.

“I don’t speak for the city…and I don’t speak for all the former Colts players because I was just a punter…nominated for the HOF three times now, but still…I speak from my own perspective…I’ve never experienced , that one group wastes opportunities/talent/money more than this group.”
