There are currently power outages in metro Atlanta in northern Georgia

Here’s a look at the power situation in metro Atlanta and northern Georgia as the storm system progresses.

ATLANTA – A storm system moved through Georgia during the overnight hours of early Sunday, bringing severe thunderstorm warnings and a brief tornado warning to parts of the southern Atlanta metro area.

These storms have also caused power outages in many parts of the region.

View the map of Georgia power outages here. The figures below are as of 2:53 p.m. (considering significant changes from previous updates).

  • Fulton County: 1,848 customers affected
  • Cobb County: 1,489 customers
  • DeKalb County: 1,129 customers
  • Douglas County: Less than 1,000 customers
  • Habersham County: Less than 1,000 customers
  • Hall County: Less than 1,000 customers
  • Meriwether County: Less than 1,000 customers
  • Gwinnett County: Less than 1,000 customers
  • Henry County: Less than 1,000 customers
  • Butts County: Less than 1,000 customers
  • Clayton County: Less than 1,000
  • 30342 in Atlanta, north of Buckhead: 536 customers
  • 30327 in Atlanta, northwest of Buckhead: 1,017 customers
  • 30338 in Dunwoody: 834 customers
  • 30168 in Austell: 588 customers

Georgia EMC customers
