A record six quarterbacks were selected in the first 12 picks of the 2024 NFL Draft. While the Atlanta Falcons’ decision to sign Michael Penix Jr. was heavily criticized at the time, the choice is looking better after the sudden demise of Kirk Cousins.

Penix made his first start in Week 17 and led the Falcons to a 34-7 victory over the New York Giants. In his second start, Penix will face Commanders rookie Jayden Daniels on “Sunday Night Football.” Daniels has arguably been the best of the bunch so far, but the jury is still out on this year’s draft class.
