Week 17 was epic for the Washington Commanders, especially for defenseman Jeremy Reaves.

After defeating the Atlanta Falcons in overtime on Sunday Night Football, the Commanders secured their spot in the NFL Playoffs. Additionally, Reaves shared an epic moment with his girlfriend Mikaela Worley.

After the game, Reaves got down on one knee and proposed to Worley before giving him an emotional hug and kiss.

On Monday morning, Reaves wrote a heartfelt message to his now-fiancée, thanking her for pulling him out of the lowest point in his life.

Reaves’ 2023 season ended prematurely after he suffered a partially torn ACL in October of that year and underwent season-ending surgery.

“A year ago I was at one of my lowest points,” Reaves wrote on Instagram. “A year later, you helped me to be my best again! Every time life has torn me apart, you have built me ​​back up and breathed life into me! School definitely came in handy lol!)
