The Titans plan to face QBs Will Levis and Mason Rudolph in the season finale against the Texans

NASHVILLE — The Titans will close out the 2024 season on Sunday against the Texans, and the team plans to use two quarterbacks in the contest.

Coach Brian Callahan said Monday that both Will Levis and Mason Rudolph are scheduled to play Sunday, but declined to name the team’s starter.

“To be honest, I’ll probably play both of them,” Callahan said at today’s press conference. “I’m going to give these guys a chance to play, some opportunities. I’ll let you know by the end of the week who the starter is and all that. But I think both guys should play some football at the end of the year.”

Rudolph replaced Levis as the starter for the team’s December 22 game in Indianapolis. The Titans lost that game, and they lost again Sunday in Jacksonville with Rudolph as the starter.

Callahan said if the Titans had won those two games, he would likely stay with Rudolph to finish the season.

Rudolph is 139 of 219 for 1,460 yards with nine touchdowns and nine interceptions on the season, with a rating of 79.3. Levis is 181 of 284 for 1,916 yards with 12 touchdowns and 12 interceptions this season, with a rating of 79.8.

“It would be different if we had won two games in a row with Mason, but we didn’t,” Callahan said. “We are where we are with our game performance and our record.”

“So let’s let Will try again to throw the ball around a little bit and play a little football. He was really professional in his approach to how everything went. I think he’s earned the right to play a little more football. “It’s only because of the way he’s handled the whole process that he’ll get the chance to play a little more.
