Fan leaves college GameDay team in hysterics after ‘almost killing someone’ with horrific $250,000 kick

A fan stepped forward to try out Pat McAfee’s $250,000 field goal kick challenge on Saturday, but the result was disastrous.

The fan, an Air Force Academy student named Payne, attended a popular College GameDay event this week.

Kirk Herbstreit even gave Payne some advice, telling him to aim for the right post.

However, this did not happen in the slightest as the fan executed his kick to the left and hit another fan’s poster nearby.

Payne was in disbelief at his attempt at horror as he put his hands on his head while the rest of the GameDay crew was in hysterics.

“He almost killed a man,” McAfee joked.

The former Colts punter then lowered the ante a bit on Payne, saying he would donate $250,000 to charity regardless of the outcome of a second kick (though the same amount would go directly to him if he did it again ).

Payne’s second attempt was improved as he got some air under the ball, but the ball still flew wide to the left.

McAfee still thanked him for his service before heading out.

GameDay took place Saturday in College Station, Texas, before the Texas A&M-Texas game.

And it was a memorable show for other reasons too, when a fan proposed to his girlfriend live on TV.
