The winter cold is here, bringing with it multiple impacts with snow and a wintry mix

FOR YOU. And of course, there are a few things to keep in mind at 447 if you might want to go for a walk or run outside in the coming days. Yes, definitely bundle for one thing. And then there are a few days when you might not want to go outside. Just be careful. Yes, there are a few winter storms coming our way, there’s some snowfall, maybe even a few winter storms for parts of this weekend. So there are a lot of changes coming to this forecast. We’ve kind of started making these changes. Yesterday we started these cooler temperatures. AND WE WILL ALSO KEEP OUT THE COLD AIR. BUT AS I MENTIONED, WE ARE TRACKING SOME SNOWFALLS FOR THIS WEEK INTO THE WEEKEND AS THE WINTER WEATHER HAS SOME POTENTIALLY LARGE IMPACT COMING TO US FOR PART OF SUNDAY THROUGH MONDAY. WE WILL TALK ABOUT IT. AND ALSO LOTS OF COLDER AIR ON THE GO. JUST A REMINDER, WE ARE IN JANUARY. We need to get used to some of this cold air. HERE IS THE FIRST SYSTEM WE’RE LOOKING FOR TONIGHT THROUGH FRIDAY. So still a long way away. BUT IT WILL BRING US SOME LIGHT SNOWFALL AS WE GO INTO THE NIGHT AND EARLY PARTS OF FRIDAY MORNING. UP TO ONE INCH POSSIBLE. That will be to our north, primarily closer to the I-70 corridor into our northern counties here around the Greater Cincinnati area. Probably about half an inch or so possible, but definitely watch out for the untreated roads. AS WE LOOK HERE AT FUTURECAST, WE KEEP THE SKY CLOUDY TODAY. REALLY NOT MUCH TO TALK EXCEPT JUST COLD AIR FOR TODAY. But if we’re late tonight, we’ll see the snow showers move in. The morning commute could be a bit strenuous at times. AS WE DRIVE THE REST OF THE MORNING COMMUTE IT IS ALREADY STARTING TO MOVE OUTSIDE AND WE WILL HAVE TO HAVE CLOUDY SKIES. Hopefully the road crews can get ahead of this. HOWEVER, FROM SUNDAY TO MONDAY, ANOTHER SYSTEM THAT WE HAVE BEEN TALKING ABOUT IS COMING THAT WILL HAVE A GREATER IMPACT ON US. A LOW PRESSURE CENTER JUST TO OUR SOUTH THAT WILL BRING A SMOOTH ICE AND SNOW MIX TO PARTS OF THE TRI-STATE. SOME BIG CHANGES TO THIS SYSTEM MAY INDICATE EITHER MORE SMOOTH AND ICE AND A LITTLE MORE SNOWFALL. At the moment the totals are too early to call, but expect some snow between Sunday and Monday. WILL LIKELY AFFECT THIS JOB SCHOOL ROUTINE WHEN WE GO UP EARLY NEXT WEEK. So again, the time extends from Sunday afternoon into the evening and continues into Monday. OUT NOW TEMPERATURES ARE IN THE LOW 30’S FROM CINCINNATI TO FAIRFIELD AT 31, BLUE ASH ANDERSON, THE SAME 32, AND PARTIALLY COLD RAIN, AS WE GO THROUGH THIS MORNING, WE WILL JUST DOWN A DEGREE OR TWO AFTER 8 AM REDUCE UP TO THE UPPER 20S. And then as we spend the rest of the day, mid 30s, that’s where the forecast is. So again, the early snowfall on Friday will have a bigger impact, although this weekend, especially this Sunday afternoon as there will be mixed precipitation, and the chance of snow increases. And as we get closer, we can pinpoint exactly where this negative pressure occurs. BUT WITH THIS SYSTEM COMING INTO EFFECT ON MONDAY NEXT WEEK, WE WILL SEE SOME COLD AIR COMING TO US. We’re talking upper 20s, possibly even teenagers
