Las Vegas cybertruck bomber Matthew Livelsberger bragged to his ex-girlfriend about renting a vehicle days before the explosion: ‘Feel like Batman’

Army Ranger Matthew Livelsberger bragged to his ex-girlfriend about renting the Tesla Cybertruck days before he took his own life and blew up the vehicle outside the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas, claiming he felt like Batman.

The 37-year-old Army soldier playfully reached out to his old girlfriend Alicia Arritt at 9 a.m. while he was in Denver on Dec. 29, days after he left his Colorado Springs home because his wife confronted him about his alleged cheating had put.

“I rented a Tesla Cybertruck. It’s the shit,” Livelsberger said, according to text messages obtained by the Denver Gazette.

Arritt didn’t expect to hear from Livelsberger — who has since married and had a child — since the couple stopped talking after their split in 2021.

The single mother says it was nice to hear from her old friend, who sent him several more messages as well as photos and videos of the truck.

“I feel like Batman or Halo,” Livelsberger wrote seven minutes after the first message, referring to the superhero character and video game franchise.

The futuristic truck caught Arritt’s attention, prompting her to ask how fast it was going.

“Godless,” Livelsberger replied, according to the outlet.

Livelsberger switched the discussion to tell Arritt what he was planning, but never gave any hint of the explosive plan.

“In my new position, I build drones,” he said. “You would like it.”

Arritt described Livelsberger as the “nicest man” she ever knew and said he once bought his ailing mother a new home.

The 37-year-old Army soldier’s wife separated from him on Dec. 26 after finding out he was cheating on her, sources told The Post on Thursday.

Livelsberger left the couple’s Colorado Springs home after an argument after Christmas in which his wife reportedly told him she knew he had cheated, the sources said.

After leaving the house, Livelsberger used the Turo app to rent the Cybertruck before driving to Las Vegas.

He parked the explosives-filled vehicle in the Trump Hotel valet, where he fatally shot himself in the head.

Livelsberger was the only person killed in the incident and his body was burned beyond recognition. Authorities identified him based on his passport and army ID card found in the truck.

The active Special Forces soldier was considered a “Rambo-type patriot” and a staunch Trump supporter.

Seven people were slightly injured by the explosion.

Inside the truck, investigators discovered fireworks-like mortars, camping fuel and canisters.

The FBI was investigating whether the bombing was politically motivated because it occurred outside a hotel owned by President-elect Donald Trump and in a vehicle owned by Trump’s close ally Elon Musk.

Arritt asked why Livelsberger would do that since she knew him to be a conservative, the Denver Gazette reported.

Officials are also investigating whether the active-duty Special Forces soldier known as a “Rambo-type patriot” and staunch Trump supporter intentionally selected a Cybertruck to limit civilian casualties, a source told The Post.
