SAN FRANCISCO – Andrew Wiggins scored 24 points, Dennis Schroder added 17 and the undermanned Golden State Warriors beat the Memphis Grizzlies 121-113 on Saturday night in the latest heated matchup between the rivals.

Lindy Waters III scored 16 points with four 3-pointers off the bench on a night when the Warriors were missing Stephen Curry and fellow guards Brandin Podziemski and Gary Payton II.

Jaren Jackson Jr. scored 23 points and Desmond Bane had 22 points and 10 assists as Memphis completed a five-game road trip.

Physical play is always the norm for these teams and things got heated 36 seconds into the fourth quarter. Draymond Green received a flagrant 1 foul on Zach Edey, then Green received his ninth technical of the season at 10:51.

Grizzlies star rookie Jaylen Wells remained at eight points a night after hitting 30 on eight three-pointers in the win over the Kings.

Warriors: Curry took a break for the first straight game to treat sore knees. Podziemski is dealing with right abdominal strain and missed his third straight game, while Payton is still dealing with a left calf strain he injured on Christmas Day against the Lakers. He has been cleared to begin individual on-field work and will be assessed again next week.

Wiggins scored seven straight points midway through the third quarter, including a four-point play that helped give Golden State an 81-71 lead. He had two timely dunks down the stretch.
