Steelers WR has 1 catch, 0 yards, 6 scores vs. Bengals

Pittsburgh Steelers receiver George Pickens had just one catch for zero receiving yards on six targets in their Week 18 NFL loss on Saturday night against the Cincinnati Bengals at Acrisure Stadium.

During Pittsburgh’s Week 13 NFL win over the Bengals at Paycor Stadium, Pickens had three catches for 74 yards with a touchdown. Pickens was penalized twice for unsportsmanlike conduct but was not disqualified. Pickens was fined $20,462 for the penalties.

Pickens is the son of former Bengals receiver Carl Pickens, whose franchise record for touchdown receptions in a season was tied by Bengals receiver Ja’Marr Chase in Saturday’s game.

“He just needs to grow up, man,” Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin said after the game. “It’s an emotional game, man. These division games are big. He has a target in his sights because he is George. He understands that. But he has to grow up. He needs to grow up fast.”
