2026 4-star CB Jamarion Gordon is leaving UCF

Jackson (Ala.) four-star cornerback Jamarrion GordonBorn in 2026, the allocation has been revoked UCF.

The 6-foot junior had been committed to the Knights since July 26 but is now the latest to withdraw his commitment after announcing Saturday that he is not a head coach Gus Malzahn He is leaving Orlando to become the new offensive coordinator at State of Florida. “What makes Florida so attractive to me is that I know they’re going to have a QB (DJ Lagway), when I get there and the head coach (Billy Napier) can make them a playoff contender team,” Gordon said.

“They like me at wide receiver but really love me at DB,” he added. “When I go there, I play DB.”

Gordon also visited Florida State this past weekend. He has numerous offers, including from Auburn, Oregon, Tennessee, Penn State, LSU and Georgia.

UCF loses Malzahn and recruits Dominoes

Following news of Malzahn’s departure, Gordon becomes the second candidate to decommit from the Knights, joining Warner Robins (Ga.) Northside four-star offensive tackle Chastan Brown. Brown had been committed to the Knights since July 11 and is the No. 399 recruit and No. 25 OT in the nation.

Coming into Saturday, UCF held commitments from 12 prospects and assembled a class of 2025 that ranked No. 51 on the list On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings. Brown was one of four leaders in the class heading into the weekend.

The Knights’ 2026 class now features a commitment from Gordon’s Jackson teammate, a three-star wide receiver Keeyun Chapman.
