SALT LAKE CITY – Abbie Stockard, the girlfriend of Utah Jazz center Walker Kessler, has been named Miss America 2025.

Stockard, who was crowned Miss Alabama, received the award Sunday night after the Jazz defeated the Orlando Magic.

Stockard was named one of 11 finalists for the Miss America crown on Friday before officially taking home the award on Sunday.

According to Alabama.com, Stockard, 22, plans to become an anesthesiologist specializing in pediatrics.

Coincidentally, Stockard was crowned Miss America in Orlando, where the Jazz played the Magic on Sunday night.

The award comes with a $50,000 scholarship and the title of Miss America of the Year.

Stockard beat Miss Texas Annette Addo-Yobo, who took first runner-up.

Although relatively quiet, Kessler has shared photos of Stockard on his social media pages.

Walker Kessler’s resurgent year with jazz

It’s been an outstanding year for Kessler, who has bounced back into form after a difficult sophomore season.

Kessler averaged 10.4 points, 11.1 rebounds and 2.6 blocks in his third season as a full-time starter for the Jazz.

The center was originally selected by the Memphis Grizzlies 22nd overall in the 2022 NBA Draft.

Kessler was traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves on draft night before joining the Jazz in the Rudy Gobert blockbuster transaction in 2022.
