(TNND) — After rumors began swirling at the Golden Globes, TMZ has confirmed that Tom Holland and Zendaya are engaged.

The couple is taking their relationship to the next level after close sources tell TMZ that the Spider-Man actor proposed at one of Zendaya’s family homes between Christmas and New Year’s.

Zendaya debuted her engagement ring at the Golden Globes on Sunday and fans quickly took to social media to comment, with one writing, “This is a ROCK.”

According to TMZ, the engagement was described as “romantic and intimate.” No family or friends were in attendance as the marriage proposal was reportedly “just a sweet moment” between the couple.

Rumors of a romance between Holland and Zendaya began in 2017 when the pair began working together as on-screen sweethearts in the latest Spider-Man episodes. A source told E! News that same year that “they met on set…became friends and started getting romantic a few months ago.”

Although the couple denied dating rumors for years, their undeniable chemistry on and off screen led them to go public with their relationship in 2021.

Now, almost four years later, the couple is preparing to tie the knot. However, sources say they have not started wedding planning yet due to their busy work schedule and upcoming projects.
