Kansas City International Airport, Kansas City’s official weather reporting agency, recorded 11 inches of snow on Sunday, marking the fourth-largest single-day snowfall in the city’s history.

It is only the eighth time since 1888 that at least 10 inches of snow has fallen in Kansas City in a single day.

Elsewhere in the metro, the snow depth was almost 30 cm.
