As he joked about being a new father, Gutfeld opened his first gift, a blue and black checkered bandana for his French bulldog Gus that read, “Big Brother.”

However, Gus doesn’t seem to like being an older brother that much.

Gutfeld was asked how Gus was coping with Mira’s arrival, to which the TV host revealed: “Oh, Gus – I have to say, that’s the challenge of having a French bulldog when you have a child.”

“The dog is in severe emotional pain as he is no longer the king of the Gutfeld household. So he does these ritual peeing exercises. He peed for free in front of the baby’s room…”

Gutfeld then pulled out a unicorn onesie for the baby, which stopped him from talking about Gus any further, but it’s safe to say he would say the pup was peeing around the house for no good reason.

Weeks ago, Gutfeld’s co-host Dana Perino shared a statement from him in which she announced that he and his wife of 20 years, Elena Moussa, 42, had given birth to a baby girl.

“This will come as a big surprise to many of you,” Dana began, adding, “You may have noticed that our friend Greg Gutfeld hasn’t been here in a few weeks, and for good reason.”

“This is a statement he sent me today. So I’m reading this like I’m Greg,” she continued. “It was with great joy that my wife Elana and I welcomed a little girl into the world. Mira is healthy and has real lungs.”

Then Gutfeld returned to social media on Christmas Day, using his Instagram to share a handful of festive posts with his 541,000 followers.

The first upload was an adorable snapshot of Gus chilling on the couch.

Gutfeld wrote: “As always, he didn’t give me anything for Christmas. However, he left what looks like coal in the middle of the living room.”

A few hours later, Gutfeld shared a video of him and Gus taking a celebratory walk in the snow.

Gus looked so cute in his little black coat as he excitedly sniffed and ran around while Gutfeld said, “Oh, he’s happy. Look at him walking up the hill. That’s good, probably good for me too.”

However, Gutfeld captioned the post: “Upstate sick as a dog. Not this dog. He’s fine,” seemingly implying that he wasn’t doing particularly well.

Despite Gutfeld’s update, fans were excited to see him active on his social media.

In the comments section, one fan gushed: “So when I heard your voice it brought tears to my eyes, when I heard your news about having a baby it brought tears to my eyes, when I saw the Christmas exchange of the five today it brought tears to my eyes and that’s what I’m saying.” .”

“Congratulations to you Elena and Gus on your baby, I’m so happy for you all. But I know I’m not the only one who misses you terribly 🙂 We want you to come back, please.”

A second person echoed: “Congratulations! Happy, healthy new year. Please come back soon. The show just isn’t the same without you.”

A third added: “Merry Christmas! I hope you’re feeling better. Enjoy the new baby! They really do grow up so quickly. And get back to work. We miss you.”
