UK Wildcats News: Georgia Setback Edition

Good morning, BBN!

The SEC is no joke, and we saw that last night. Not only did the Kentucky Wildcats lose to the Georgia Bulldogs, but Tennessee, the No. 1 team in the country, was beaten 73-43 by Florida, the team that beat Kentucky just a few days ago!

Last night really showed the weaknesses of this Kentucky team. The physicality in the paint was too much for the Kentucky bigs.

By the 12-minute mark of the second half, Andrew Carr and Amari Williams had committed four fouls, showing they had lost the battle down low.

Georgia shot 38 free throws compared to Kentucky’s 19 free throws. With about five minutes left the score was 31-9, which pretty much describes the story of the game.

No time to sulk over this loss as the Cats travel to Starkville to take on No. 14 Mississippi State this Saturday.
