The legendary actress was “almost killed” when a fan mistook her for a country star

Pamela Anderson “almost died,” she said, when a man mistook her for someone else on a plane.

The 57-year-old “Baywatch” star revealed on the “Happy Sad Confused” podcast that an angry man “tried to attack her” because he thought Anderson was a member of the Chicks.

“This one time I was on a flight and this guy came up to me and said, ‘Do you know what this country has done for you?'” she said.

Anderson said the man continued to give her looks and try to attack her throughout the flight. He had to be held by a flight attendant.

“And I thought, ‘Oh my God. What have I done?’ And then I looked back at him and he (growled at me). This stewardess had to handcuff him to the chair because he tried to attack me.

“Yeah. And he ended up thinking I was a Dixie Chick. Remember the whole Dixie Chick thing? I almost died on the plane!

“When you look back and he’s scowling at you. That was (however) minor! After that I was afraid to fly!”

The Chicks made headlines in 2003 when Natalie Maines criticized then-President George W. Bush following the U.S. invasion of Iraq.
