The announcement was made via Universal Studios Hollywood’s social media.

Universal Studios Hollywood says it “continues to assess the situation and expects to begin operations tomorrow. “The safety of our team members and our guests is our top priority.”

According to KTLA News, tens of thousands of residents in western Los Angeles remain under mandatory evacuation orders after a large-scale, wind-driven wildfire broke out and swept through communities in the Palisades on Tuesday.

The fire was first reported around 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday. By evening, the fire had reached more than 2,900 acres without containment and was expected to continue to spread amid hurricane-force Santa Ana winds.

News footage showed dozens of homes and other buildings ablaze, but there was no initial estimate of the number of buildings damaged or destroyed. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

On the official Universal Studios Hollywood website, there is an announcement banner at the top of the page saying they are closed today due to wind and fires.

While the website announcement states that they expect to be open for business tomorrow, they will continue to assess the situation. Universal Studios Hollywood and CityWalk parking hours are listed for the remainder of the week. However, due to the unpredictability of the fires, this could change.
