What will the weather be like in Central Florida on Wednesday?

Cool temperatures will continue in Central Florida on Wednesday. Afternoon highs will be about 12 to 15 degrees below normal.

Even with the help of sunshine, most areas will struggle to get high temperatures below the 60s.

Clear skies will ensure another cold night across the region this evening. Most areas remain above freezing, with only a few exceptions in Marion, Alachua, Gilchrist and Levy counties. Here temperatures drop to below 30 °C and frost can occur.

Looking ahead

Our next system arrives this weekend bringing rain and cooler temperatures. Before we get there, Friday will be a warmer and windy day with highs finally falling back into the low 70s.

A cold front will sweep through on Saturday, bringing scattered showers through the first half of the weekend. The rain will ease on Saturday night, giving way to a cooler, drier and sunny Sunday. Highs won’t reach the mid-60s until Sunday and the following week.
