Steph Curry and Bradley Beal are questionable for Warriors vs. Suns

The Golden State Warriors will look to stop the bleeding tonight when they travel to the desert to take on the Phoenix Suns. Both teams started the year brilliantly – the Dubs started the season 10-2 and the Suns 9-2 – before things got rocky. Since then, Golden State has gone 2-4 with three straight losses, while Phoenix has gone 1-6.

Many of the Suns’ problems stem from Kevin Durant’s absence, but that won’t be a factor in this game since Durant returned earlier this week. Still, there are plenty of players with bumps and bruises for this matchup.

Here is the full injury report.

warrior

Out of — De’Anthony Melton (left ACL sprain)

The bad news is that Melton is out for the entire season. The good news is that he is the only player ruled out for the Warriors in this game.

Questionable — Steph Curry (bilateral patellofemoral knee pain)

After missing Wednesday’s heartbreaking loss, Curry is close to making his return. He was fully involved in training on Friday, so there is a very good chance he will play tonight.

Questionable — Andrew Wiggins (right ankle impingement)

Considering how many perimeter scorers Phoenix has – and how good Wiggins’ offense has been for most of the season – the Dubs will have high hopes that he can play in this game after he appeared on the injury report on Friday.

Probably — Jonathan Kuminga (illness)

After missing two games due to illness, Kuminga returned on Wednesday and played with great energy and aggression. That’s certainly a good sign that he’s playing tonight.

Probably — Gary Payton II (right adductor tension)

Assuming GPII plays, he could play a big role tonight. There are plenty of Suns scorers that Payton could provide needed defense against.

Suns

Out of — Collin Gillespie (Right ankle fracture)

Gillespie, who is entering his second year after being an undrafted rookie last season, only made it into one game this year before suffering an injury.

Questionable — Bradley Beal (left calf injury treatment)

Like Durant, Beal returned from injury earlier this week and played consecutive Tuesday-Wednesday games in Phoenix. But the Suns could hold him back in this game to ensure he stays healthy.

Questionable — Jusuf Nurkić (right quadriceps contusion)

I’m not sure if Draymond Green is hoping Nurkić plays or if he’s hoping he rests!

Have fun playing, Dub Nation!
