Finebaum has learned his lesson and will not start another fight with Colorado football

The once ardent critic of Deion Sanders has finally turned his narrative around for good this time. Paul Finebaum, the ESPN analyst who didn’t think twice before making brutally harsh comments against Colorado and its head coach Deion Sanders after last season’s 4-8 record, finally has no complaints about the Buffs having an important one on Saturday Lost game against Kansas.

Even more surprising, Finebaum praised Sanders’ performances this season even though they lost a key game that could have allowed them to make the playoffs.

“Colorado doesn’t surprise me that much,” Finebaum said on The Paul Finebaum Show (h/t Athlon sport). “They have exceeded expectations this year. I think overall they had a fantastic year. You played against a really good team recently. Bad record, but a good team that is getting promoted at the right time.”

Deion Sanders was brave enough to take responsibility after the loss to Kansas, boldly admitting, “We controlled our own destiny and screwed it up.” The real question now is: Are Deion Sanders and Co. strong enough to get there to continue where they left off?

They have a strong squad and an even better staff for it. In front of them lost 37-21 to the Jayhawksthey had a four-game winning streak. They might have added another loss to their other two, but they can still finish in style like Coach Prime does.
