Big news from Athens, Georgia. According to football reporter Pete Nakos, Georgia quarterback Carson Beck has decided to enter the transfer portal, meaning he will not declare for the 2025 NFL Draft after all.

This move makes a lot of sense for Beck. After suffering a serious season-ending injury, it would be difficult for him to prepare for the draft and increase his draft stock after an inconsistent season.

Additionally, the Bulldogs have Gunner Stockton in the quarterback room, which would have created a real problem for Beck if he found himself in a quarterback battle next season.

Beck entered the 2024 college football season as one of the top three quarterback prospects, but at this point it looks more like a late second and early third round prospect. So if he can land at the right school and get healthy, he has a chance to work his way back into the first-round mix.
