The 2024 SEC Championship Game will be between Georgia and Texas

The 2024 SEC Championship Game lies in between Georgia And Texas next Saturday in Atlanta following Week 14 of college football.

Georgia has already secured its spot in the SEC Championship, winning an eight-overtime thriller over Georgia Tech 10-2 on Friday night. In the meantime, Texas won a highly touted rivalry game played for the first time since 2011.

But now the SEC Championship is down to two teams, and there is a bye in the first round College Football Playoffs.

It played a big part in Georgia making it to the SEC Championship game with a bang. Sure, they secured a spot in Atlanta, but they didn’t want to come into the game with three losses and a loss to rival Georgia Tech.

Ultimately, the Bulldogs outlasted the Yellow Jackets in eight overtimes.

After the game, ESPN’s Katie George asked Bulldogs head coach Kirby Smart if he had ever experienced something like this.

“No, I didn’t,” Smart said. “They have a really good football team, a really physical football team, and they really outplayed us physically tonight. Their quarterback is a warrior and I have a lot of respect for the way they and Brent play. But our children are resilient. They never give up. Never say die. It was sloppy. These fans stayed with us. It’s a great game…We’re all out of two-point games.”
